Minimal Computer Specifications For Windows 10
Windows 10 is an operating system that is now very popular.
Reporting from the official website of Microsoft alone, in 2020 there were 1 trillion devices running Windows 10.
In fact it can still continue to grow you know , given the increasing number of computer and laptop users now.
Well, even so, for those of us who want to use Windows 10, or maybe want to upgrade from an earlier version of Windows to Windows 10, it should be noted about the minimum specifications of Windows 10.
Why? Because by knowing the required specifications, we can get several things, including not having to worry about slow problems.
The following Windows 10 specifications:
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster
- RAM: 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
- Storage Space: 16 GB
- Graphics Card: A graphics card that supports Microsoft DirectX 9 with WDDM drivers
- Microsoft account and internet access
These specifications, are the minimum specifications needed by Windows 10, which are explained directly from Microsoft.
System Specifications For Windows 10 To Be Launched
Well, just for sharing . Here I want to share a little about the specs needed by Windows 10, so that it is smoothly used. With this note based on my own experience.
I will make it later so that it's easy to understand. Because certainly there are still many, who do not understand the specs previously described.
Let's discuss:
1. Processor
For processors , Windows 10 already supports various types of kok. Starting from the old output, to the latest.
I myself have several times installed Windows 10 on an old processor output (on a laptop). The result? It's normal.
But my advice anyway, so that at least the processor is at least dual-core . And easy to release around 2012 or newer.
Why is that? Because from my experience, the processor with these specs has been very smooth to run Windows 10.
Example of a processor I tested, Intel Pentium G2020 (On PC). It's been great, so it's been used in Windows 10
2. RAM capacity
As we have seen before, Windows 10 requires a minimum of 1GB (32-bit) and 2GB (64-bit) RAM so that it can be used.
Well, this is in my personal experience too. For this RAM capacity my advice is minimal:
- RAM 2GB (32-bit)
- RAM 4GB (64-bit)
Why? Because with the amount of RAM that I recommend, we can more freely run Windows 10.
Even when you want to open several programs at once, at the same time.
3. Storage Capacity (Harddisk / SSD)
For this one, it really does not need to be considered. Because most hard drives now have the smallest capacity of 250GB. At most only 80GB.
But different things if the SSD. There are you know some type of SSD or a certain type of laptop, which capacity is only about 30GB.
For my own advice, at least 120GB of storage. So that we can save a lot of light programs, and some heavy programs.
And so we don't have to worry about it, such as cache data ( Windows.old , temporary files , etc.).

PS: It is recommended to use Windows 10 using SSD. From my test the difference can be 80% faster.
4. Graphic Card (VGA)
Graphic card, or if in Indonesia we are more familiar with calling it VGA.
Most of the VGA on an old PC or laptop already supports support , with Windows 10. It's just that, we need to pay attention to the driver .
Because not all old VGA or PC VGA drivers already support Windows 10.
5. Microsoft Account and Internet Access
This Microsoft account and internet access are used so that later Windows 10 can be set as needed. Especially in the personalization section.
Well, this is arguably optional. We can, set up the system later without the need to use a Microsoft account.
Conclusion:
For the minimum specifications of Windows 10 from Microsoft:
- Processor 1 GHz
- RAM 1GB (32-bit) atau 2GB (64-bit)
- Storage 16GB
- Graphic Card Which supports DirectX 9
- Others Microsoft and Internet accounts
For my version:
- Processor Dual Core (Release 2012 or newer)
- RAM 2GB (32-bit) atau 4GB (64-bit)
- Storage 120GB
- Graphic Card Can be anything
- Microsoft and Internet accounts Optional
The specification can be used in versions of Windows 10 any
The final word
That is, the discussion of the specifications needed for the system to run Windows 10. This is arguably my version, incidentally, I've run many types of computers on Windows 10.
So it has been experience, which one will be smooth which will not, hehe. Or if you're still confused, try writing your spec in the comments column below. I'll try to help check later.
May be useful.
